About

Welcome to Black River Bay Campgrounds located on the banks of the Black River just minutes from Watertown, and the Thousand Islands! We are currently closed for the season, but we now have a Pizza Oven available for campers at the pavilion. The campground is just minutes away from many Great Things to do and see, including White Water Rafting, cruising the Thousand Islands, and fishing. The Black River Bay offers outstanding fishing opportunities, from Walleye in the spring to Bass fishing in the summer and Salmon fishing in the fall. The Thousand Islands region is an archipelago of more than 1,800 islands, creating an unparalleled water recreation land. Visitors can enjoy scenic narrated boat tours, visit Boldt Castle, and explore the historic Sackets Harbor. The campground is also close to the Black River Running Trail, a 4.5-mile stretch of paved trail perfect for hiking, jogging, biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
