Big Knob State Forest Campground is a rustic campground located on the shore of Lake Michigan. It offers stunning river and lakefront settings, perfect for fishing, boating, and paddling. The campground has 23 sites for tent, small trailer, and large trailer use, with site #22 being a pull-through site. The campground is located 13.5 miles southwest of Naubinway via US-2 West and Big Knob Road. There are vault toilets, potable water available from a hand-pump well, and no electrical available. Overnight fees and registration procedures are posted at the information kiosk at each campground. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay, and one camping unit and six people are allowed per site. The campground provides access to state land open to hunting, and there is a small picnic area located on the east side of the campground near the day-use parking area. The campground is open all year, but the campground and seasonal roads are not plowed.
