The Big Eddy Campground is located in the Boise National Forest. The campground offers a diverse range of opportunities for outdoor recreation, including biking, fishing, hiking, horse riding and camping, hunting and shooting, off-highway vehicles, outdoor science and learning, picnicking, water activities, and winter sports. The Cascade Ranger District is the northern most District on the Boise National Forest, encompassing over 400,000 acres, while the Emmett Ranger District manages more than 150 camping units in 21 developed campgrounds.
