About
Located west of Alden and situated along the Iowa River, Bessman-Kemp Park features 71 acres of land that were purchased as a park and wildlife preserve in the early 80's. The park has since been used by many locals and visitors for various recreational purposes and currently features 12 electrical campsites, 2 cabins, a new shelter house, a restroom, and carry-down river access. Visitors can enjoy activities such as stream fishing, Iowa River fishing, and exploring the surrounding area.
