Back Pew Brewing makes its home in the hallowed halls of an old church building, but don’t let that fool you into thinking our brewery is conventional. We chart our own course and venture into the beer-brewing unknown. We’re inspired by the unconventional, the strange, and the original. We aren’t afraid to brew boldly, and we never confine ourselves to the straight and narrow. We’re fueled by a passion to create damn good craft beer. Our founder and brewmaster, Bobby Harl, has a PhD and MBA from Vanderbilt University, where he gained experience brewing with mentors Steve Scoville and Michael Kwas at Little Harpeth Brewing Company. He returned to Houston in 2014 to craft beers full of flavor and character, and build an awesome place for friends and family to enjoy them. Back Pew Brewing is located at 26452 Sorters McClellan Rd. in Porter, TX 77365, and is open Thursday to Sunday. We offer private events and have a taproom and outdoor area available to rent.
