About
Atwell Mill Campground, located in the Mineral King area of Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks, is the highest elevation campground in the parks at 7,500 feet. It is only open during the summer months and is accessible via a 90-minute drive on a long, narrow, winding, and largely unpaved road. RVs and trailers are not recommended on Mineral King Road and are not permitted in campgrounds. Mineral King is not connected to the rest of Sequoia National Park by roads. The campground offers a unique and remote experience, surrounded by beautiful scenery and opportunities for outdoor activities.
