About

Applegate Lake offers a collection of waterside campgrounds managed by Aztoor LLC under a Special Use Permit within the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The lake features multiple camping areas including Hart-Tish Park (the main hub with general store, SUP and kayak rentals, and supplies), Jackson Campground with river-side drive-up camping, Acorn Woman Lakes (formerly Squaw Lakes) where paddles-only restrictions keep the waters quiet, Carberry Group Site available year-round, Watkins hilltop campground overlooking the lake, and Seattle Bar day-use area on the far south side straddling the California state line. A 10 MPH speed limit across the entire lake maintains a peaceful atmosphere. The lake provides excellent opportunities for fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding, with easy access to the Applegate River.
