About
The Appalachian Mountain Club's Knubble Bay Camp & Beal Island is a unique oceanfront, self-service cabin on the Maine Coast. Beal Island has been a favorite destination for campers for generations. Exciting and educational weekend kayak programs are offered by KBC's experienced and skilled volunteers. Knubble Bay Camp and Beal Island are operated and maintained by the KBC/BI Volunteer Committee, which is solely responsible for the operation and maintenance of the camp and island. There are no paid staff associated with KBC & Beal Island, and all associated expenses are funded entirely from cabin & BI rental revenue and the revenue from weekend programs.
